The Venue
We meet at the Ruddock Performing Arts Centre, King Edward VI Schools in Edgbaston for our lectures. The Ruddock has two options for our Talks, either the main concert hall seating up to 400 or the smaller studio theatre seating c100.
There is a reception area with a bar, so you can have a complimentary glass of wine and a chat to fellow members when you arrive from 6.15pm before the lecture starts at 7pm.
Arriving by Car
Free car parking is available on lecture evenings. To gain entry to the site, it is best approached from the Bristol Road entrance - signed as the Park Vale Gate B5 7SP. Very occasionally a gate code may be necessary to pass through the gates and members will be made aware of this before the lecture.
Arriving by Public Transport
We would recommend that where practical you travel to us on public transport. You will find the University of Birmingham train station a short walk to us and also Bristol Road a stone's throw away with bus stops to major bus routes: 63, 144, 886, X61 in and out of the city centre.
